Castro Can't Stay Away
It's always great to see the familiar faces that are loyal Borgata poker players, but it's just as nice to see some old friends who have been gone for awhile.
Gene Castro is back after moving to Vegas to pursue several business ventures, as is James Boyle (Havre de Grace, MD) who missed the start of the series to tend to some family matters.
"It's strange," says Castro, who's a co-founder of Poker Players International, "you spend so much time here that you don't realize how long it's been. But it's great to see the same people. It's like you never left."
Boyle, who twice won the Borgata Poker Tournament Leaderboard competition, won't be winning it again.
His first event was Friday's $1,500 purple bounty tournament and while he missed the first week of the series is glad to be back at Borgata. "Family comes first," says Boyle, who was profiled on the blog, "so that's the most important thing."
Coincidentally Castro and Boyle are at the same table to begin the $1k six max and looking forward to the $2 Million Guaranteed Championship Event which kicks off Sunday.
