Michael Belorusov Busts Bubble
The room explodes with joy and applause as all remaining players have made the cash ($59,400 Total Buy-In) thanks to Michael Belorusov (Russia) who had just a few thousand more than Tom Smargiassi (Union, NJ) at the start of the hand.
Tom shoved his last 15,000 on the button after looking at one card, an ace.
Michael re-shipped and got called.
Each player in the hand had an ace and on a clean board of 6-8-2-2-Q.
Michael tabled A-J, Opponent had A-10, and Tom finally checks his kicker to reveal a 9.
Belorusov scoops the near triple up and was very excited to pick up a bounty. Of course the rest of the room was happy to be in the money.
Unfortunately for Tom he didn't pick up any $100 bounties.
Fortunately, because Tom is such a great guy that the entire room chipped in and bought him a parting gift. A year supply of Rice-a-Roni or something like that.
We were hand for hand for over a level so now the blinds are 6,000 / 12,000 with 2,000 antes.
